The rigorous process and evaluation are based on overall product quality and the highest level of farming and processing. Factors in award scoring for the Eggland’s Best Award of Excellence 2023 include:
Store audits: Stamp quality, Checks, Cartons
Feed samples: Samples sent monthly, Proper nutritional levels
Egg Samples: Samples sent weekly, Iodine levels, Lutein levels, Vitamin E levels, Cholesterol levels, Saturated Fat levels, Omega 3 levels – minimum of 125mg, Yolk Color – Roche minimum level of 7, Shell Strength
Ranch audits and Plant audits: Completed yearly, Animal Health, Animal Welfare, Plant inspections – SQF
