Our community is our team of employees as well as the local community we serve. Community support is part of our everyday life. It’s the right way to farm and its one way we participate in the local economy. Our decisions are guided by this value everyday.
Supporting Our Employees
Valley Fresh Foods prides itself in providing secure jobs with living wages and a safe working environment. Our regular employees receive medical and dental insurance coverage and a pension plan program as well as other benefits such as holiday pay and annual cost of living raises. In addition, all employees receive a flat of fresh eggs every week for their family.
On average, our employees have worked on our farms for over 15 years with many working over 30 years. Our farm is committed to ensuring the livelihood of approximately 250 employees.
Supporting the Greater Community
In California, Valley Fresh Foods provides egg donations each year to local nonprofit, lunch programs and food banks. Most of the donation are received by the United Samaritans Foundation which is the largest provider of emergency food to communities throughout Stanislaus County. Nonprofits such as the FFA (Future Farmers of America), local fire department, kids sport programs and local churches also benefit from our egg donation program. Our farms have provided egg donations for over seven decades.
In Oregon and Washington our egg donations go to food banks and nonprofits in our local farming regions. Our donations help provide healthy nutritious eggs to food insecure families and those in need.
