Our Certified Organic Cage-Free hens are raised cage-free and fed certified organic vegetarian feed from the day they are born. An independent auditor, Quality Assurance International, certifies that our operations meet the rigid requirements of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, as well as the federal standards of the USDA National Organic Program. Cage-Free Brown eggs are laid by hens kept in the same type of aviaries as a cage-free white hens. Our Farms follow the strict cage-free certification guidelines. Brown eggs are laid by brown feathered breeds like the Rhode Island Red, New Hampshire, and Plymouth Rock. Slightly larger than white-feathered hens, these breeds often require more feed. Brown eggs will cost you a bit more at the store because the hens are larger and require more feed.

Cage-Free white eggs are laid by hens kept in spacious aviaries providing ample room to roam, scratch, perch and nest as they please. Our farms follow strict cage-free certification guidelines. Our white eggs are laid by Leghorn hens which are are slightly smaller than brown-feathered hens. Leghorns require less feed than brown hens so these eggs are often slightly less expensive than brown eggs. White eggs are just as delicious and nutritious as brown eggs.

Our private label and specialty egg brands Nest Best and Eggland’s Best are produced from a variety of hens. The specialty hens lay Cage-Free browns and whites, Cage-Free Organic, and Omega-3. Our Omega-3 eggs have up to 125mg of Omega-3 fatty acids per egg. Beautiful white Leghorn hens lay these eggs.
